Not another dating site! How is GetSteady different?

GetSteady is a place where singles can connect in a healthy and positive way. It's a place that isn't over sexualized, overrun with ads, filled with fake profiles, or accosted with spam. We wanted to create a healthy alternative to bars and clubs on the web. We also wanted to offer a refreshing new alternative to the other sites currently available out there. GetSteady is a place where you can show your face, a place where you can see and be seen. It's a place you can comfortably talk about with your friends and family, so when someone asks you, "Oh, how did you two meet?" then you can happily respond, "GetSteady!"

How much is this gonna cost me?

Nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

Do I need to upload a photo?

Yes. To join GetSteady it's a requirement to upload at least one photo. If you wish to appear in searches and contact our members you will need to complete the photo verification process and fill out your profile.

Why do I have to verify my photos?

If you wish to appear in searches you should verify your photos.

How much does photo verification cost?

Nothing. It's free!

How long does the photo verification process take?

Online verifications take 24-48 hours, sometimes it can be much quicker. Mail or faxed verifications will take longer.

What do you do with my verification information?

Your verification information is kept on file but shared with no one.

Can I change my Username?

Sorry not at this time. The only way to change your Username would be to delete your account and make a new one.

How do I make my profile private?

You can make your profile invisible by going to the "My account" page under "My tools". Select "Make my profile invisible" and then click "save settings". Once invisible you will no longer appear in searches.

How do I contact you?

Why won’t my photos upload?

Most likely your photos won’t upload because they are too large! Here is a great site that will resize your photos quickly and for free! Five simple steps and your done! For Step 2 “Select New Image Dimension” we recommend you choose 600 pixels. If you are still having problems let us know :) http://www.shrinkpictures.com/

How do I cancel my account?

It's easy. Go to My Tools then My account. Select Delete profile and your information will be removed then you will be logged out of the site.

What are GetSteady points?

It pays to GetSteady in more ways than one! The GetSteady Rewards Program is our way of saying 'Thank You' for joining the GetSteady family. Watch your Rewards Points accumulate fast by earning 25 points just for joining, 25 points for verifying your photos and earn 1 point for every person you refer to the site. To qualify, your referral must follow your invitation link and become a GetSteady.com member. 100 points = 1 GetSteady reward. Reward options vary depending on the current promotion.
